Another good rocking piece of vinyl is STRUNG OUT ON THE LINE, the first album for Seattle's Shatterbox, The sound is somewhat raw and ragged, but the band's material is fresh and exciting. Shatterbox plays a 60's power pop-influenced brand of music with lots of Stones and Beatles riffs, but the emphasis is more on power than pop, and the band rocks. Guitarist Richard Pleasant and George Goheen keep things moving with their fiery wall of sound and songs like "Anytime," "Leaving Blues" and "Brand New Girl" mark the pair as songwriting team of note.....taken from
"The Rocket " biweekly newspaper which served the Pacific Northwest for the Seattle music scene
